History
Dating back to 1984, MorphPackers technology leverages more than 30 years of intellectual property, knowledge and a successful track record from its origins in META Downhole Limited (previously a READ Well Services AS group company), prior to being spun out to form MorphPackers Limited in 2016.
MorphPackers’ expandable technology was first successfully tested in 2008 and has seen significant advancement in the product suite and its range of applications in recent years alongside a number of blue chip development partners. Today, our suite of expandable packers are protected by over 20 patents covering the unique methods of sealing & anchoring. We remain committed to investing in R&D as we continue to evolve our technology portfolio to meet new well applications.

What we do
MorphPackers’ STORM™ refrac packer is at the heart of redefining the approach to re-stimulation of existing wells. The STORM™ refrac packer provides a cost effective solution, that eliminates the uncertainty of chemical diverters, to re-stimulate existing wells while maintaining maximum ID and enhancing field recovery.
CENTURION™ represents a complete rethink of production packer technology offering exceptional strength and superior sealing capabilities. With only one moving part, CENTURION™ is significantly more reliable and affordable than any other packer delivering the largest performance envelope in its class.

Alfredo Sanchez
CEORead bioAlfredo SanchezCEOWith over 23 years’ experience in oilfield services with a focus on completions, Alfredo gained early experience at Schlumberger and COAMPSA. Joining Top-Co as Senior Petroleum Engineer, he ultimately progressed to Vice President for Engineering and Industry Affairs. After the acquisition of Top-Co by Rubicon Oilfield International, Alfredo was one of just a handful of executives to be retained by Rubicon, holding the position of Vice President for Wells Construction for a further two years.
Alfredo graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering. He obtained an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Alfredo is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and the Province of Alberta.
As a strategically minded individual, with strong leadership experience across large geographic locations, MorphPackers was delighted to welcome Alfredo on board as CEO in Spring 2019.

Denise Johnstone
Financial ControllerRead bioDenise JohnstoneFinancial ControllerHaving spent most of her working life within the Oil & Gas service sector, Denise has a wealth of experience, demonstrating success in various finance roles, most recently as Group Finance Manager of a PE backed Safety Service Company.
Over the years she has spearheaded the successful implementation of ERP systems, created robust processes and procedures along with training staff in their process flow. Denise, as part of various Senior Management Teams, has experience in helping to create the successful strategic direction of the company. Coming from a mainly SME background, she has a can-do attitude and is not afraid to roll up her sleeves.

Shannon Martin
Senior Design Engineer and Technical SalesRead bioShannon MartinSenior Design Engineer and Technical SalesShannon began his career in the oil field at an early age while working in the family owned machine shop. With several years of manufacturing experience and a BS in Engineering Technology, Shannon joined Baker Hughes as a design engineer in 2007. Throughout his 13-year career with Baker Hughes Shannon held various roles within the Completions and Wellbore interventions organization. In addition to both domestic and international operations, Shannon specializes in, production packers, liner hangers, open hole packers, frac plugs, and sliding sleeves.
Shannon is currently pursuing his MBA from Sam Houston State University, where he has been recognized for his business acumen from the Texas Business Hall of Fame.
Shannon joined Morphpackers in 2020 with the responsibility of developing product lines, growing market share, and increasing brand awareness.

Chris Cockrill
Senior Design EngineerRead bioChris CockrillSenior Design EngineerAfter studying mechanical and offshore engineering BEng(Hons) at Robert Gordon University, Chris began his career in the oil and gas sector in 2011. As a Design Engineer, specifically in the development of completion equipment, Chris spent 4 years at Baker Hughes as part of the engineering development program. Chris joined the Morphpackers design team in 2017, with responsibility for developing and testing the portfolio of products we offer.

Van Adams
Supply Chain and Logistics LeadRead bioVan AdamsSupply Chain and Logistics LeadVan has been in the Supply Chain in the Oil and Gas Industry for 29 years. He join Baker Hughes in 1991, starting in the Material Group, and over 20 years worked in various areas of supply chain. In that time he led the materials planning and scheduling team, in addition he participated in implementing SAP platforms. From there he spent the next two years working with Forum Energy Technologies, as their Downhole Master Scheduling Manager. He also oversaw the MRP and Scheduling Software Implementation. Most recently Van was with HMT Tank, where he spent time initially as the Production Control Manager and Global Scheduling and Logistics Manager, overseeing day to day operations and balancing the global supply chain.
Van joined Morphpackers in 2020 as the Supply Chain and Logistics Lead, to work with Domestic and UK suppliers and carriers.

Steve Nicol
ChairmanRead bioSteve NicolChairmanWorking in the oil & gas industry for over 20 years, Steve spent nine years at Red Spider Technology. Starting as the company’s first employee, he rose from Production Manager to CEO, securing significant investment for growth before the company was successfully acquired by Halliburton. He continued working for Halliburton, and was latterly responsible for the strategic direction and portfolio mix of the product group in his role as Senior Group Innovation & Marketing Manager. Steve joined MorphPackers as Chairman in July 2018.
Demonstrating success in operational, technical and business management roles, Steve has also held several non-executive positions in the industry, and has been honoured with the Inspiring Leader Award from the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Karem Kobayashi
Board DirectorRead bioKarem KobayashiBoard DirectorKarem has been involved with Morphpackers since 2016, when the business spun out of Meta Downhole Ltd. following its successful acquisition by Schlumberger. With over 12 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector (of which 7 at EV Private Equity – “EVPE”), Karem has served as Non-Executive Director on the board of various oilfield services companies in the UK and Norway, having also been involved in all aspects of EVPE’s business, from transactions to stewardship and control.
Prior to EVPE, Karem worked for BG Group (acquired by Shell in 2016) in Reading, UK. At BG Group she was part of them team that successfully divested the Brazilian downstream asset Comgas to the local energy conglomerate Cosan.
Karem holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Sao Paulo and an MBA (with Distinction) from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
